Christmas is coming up fast! I can't believe it. We took my niece and nephew to see some christmas lights the other night. They were so colorful and beautiful! Just the thing to get you into the christmas spirit :) I don't know what it is about christmas lights, but they have such a magical feel to them. Especially when you are in a tunnel of them! :D

I was looking through some of my photos that I had download quickly onto my computer, and then had forgotten about them. Oops! hee hee. Anyways, I cam across this photo, and it made me smile. It's Zach with my niece and nephew. He's so good with kids :)

My sister, neice, nephew, their dog, and two cats are here living with us for a while, and it has been awesome :) Never a dull moment! hee hee.

I know I haven't been on here much. It's been 3 weeks of final exams for me, but I will be done soon, and then I can spend more time here :D I hope to get my personal photo gallery and the treats section up in a few weeks, so check back for that soon :)

It was another crazy weekend that ensued :P Some good things, some bad things, but I was happy to spend time with my hubby, and so overall I feel it was a good weekend, with just a few bumps here and there.

Friday was lovely :) Zach told me that we could do whatever I wanted to do that day. I had some things in mind, but my glasses broke earlier in the week, so I had to take care of that first :) So now I have wonderful new glasses, which fit wonderfully, and are in one piece :D  After getting the glasses we went to a used bookstore where I attempted to find all of the old tattered books :)

Zach is getting very good at helping me find old books :D I picked one up the other day, and he said "Nah, that one is not as aesthetically pleasing as your other ones" hee hee hee :D

We also went to the music store so I could find some sheet music to be able to start practicing my flute again :D I miss it and my piano very much. Music has always been a big part of me, and so right now I just want to play ;)

Saturday I had class. We went to an art museum. It was really neat, and I took my daddy with me so that we could spend some time together :) Boy were we tired after all of that though. 3 museums! craziness! ;)

Yay! Zach and I have a new car :D Well...not "new" but "gently used" :D It's a really nice car and fits our needs, plus it's super comfy for those long trips between the different states :) We're super excited!

In other news, as many of you probably have noticed I made some big changes to my official website and my blog. I felt the need to have a place strickly for business and another for personal. I love both of them, and I'm still getting both of them together more. So check back frequently for new things added :)

I'm kind of sad right now because I lost the battery charger for my camera, and both of my batteries are dead :( So that means no pictures right now on my digital. I do however have my film camera, and so that it getting even more use now :) So who knows, perhaps it was God's way of saying, "hey Alli, shoot with your film camera for a while :)".

Oh! also, Zach and I are going to our very first Halloween party! :) I think I'm going to dress as a witch (I know I know super original :P) I've been a little short on time to prepare a costume for it, and I already have the hat, and broom and such, soooooo...Hee hee hee hee :D See! I already have the cackle down and everything. I have to go as a witch now! :D

I hope I find my battery charger by then! :)

Finally announcing the exciting news! :D

It has been soooo hard not to spoil this surprise for you guys! Even though I did spoil it for some of you anyways, cause I'm such a chatterbox :P hee hee. But the news is finally coming out! :D A few months ago I started to submit some of my photographs to some magazines, and made it into one! :) It is a beautiful magazine, and I love reading it. So many fun crafty ideas and vintage eye candy ;) I feel so blessed and grateful that they accepted me :)

These pictures were created during a very beautiful time of my life, and the beauty just keeps continuing, due to very special people in my life :) Especially my wonderful husband who stood by me, supported me, and pushed me (in a loving way ;) to actually submit :) My family and friends, and anyone who reads this blog, thank you for your kind words when I was having "photography low self esteem" lolol. You all are awesome! :)

I hope to continue to grow in the wonderful love that everyone has shared with me...

And to return that love in ten-folds :)

Oh! and I wanted to share this heavenly piece with you :) It's very peaceful.

An update for you :) Zach is still hurting a bit, but seems to be feeling better and better each day :) Now we are preparing for his knee surgery which is coming up faster than we had expected :P

Classes on the other hand have been busy, but enjoyable for the most part :) I just realized the other day that the semester will be done fairly soon, Yay!!!

I also realized that christmas is sneaking up on us fast, and I need to start making everyone's gifts :) A few years ago I was dirt poor at christmas, and so I created a gift for each person. I loved the whole process so much, and feel that I am truly giving from my heart, that I continued to crafts everyone's gifts for the holidays :)

Oh boy, what a crazy weekend/ new week my husband and I had. I had originally wanted to post about things happening at school, but then life took a few turns here and there.

On Saturday my hubby and I went to donate some blood to the red cross :) Last time I did this though I became really really sick, and almost had to go to the hospital, so I was pretty nervous about doing it again. We drove about 40 minutes from our house to find a place with a red cross bus. We go in the bus, fill out the forms and such, and then donate some blood. This time I got sick while they took the blood, not after. I continued to feel sick and super dehydrated for the remainder of the weekend; where I lived on the couch and Zach looked after me.

On Monday I was still down with Zach at the apartment, but was finally feeling better, and was going to head back up to school after we had breakfast together. Nope, I was so wrong about that.
Zach had gotten into a bad car accident that morning while I was waiting for him. Some guy had made an illegal u-turn in front of him at 40mph and they collided. Thankfully aside from being very very very sore, Zach is ok, and in one piece. I stayed down with him at the apartment for the day and the next morning to make sure that he was going to be alright, and able to get around until I see him again in a few days. Thankfully the doctors gave him some medicine that helps his muscles to relax, and also we booked him with a massage therapist yesterday, so that should help :)

It's scary to think if he had been doing the speed limit, how much worse that accident could have been. I am very thankful that aside from being a tad beaten up, that he is relatively ok :)

So that's where I've been, and that's why pictures have been a little on the skimpy side. I am back now though, and I have lots to share with you! :D New personal and business gallery pictures should be up by the end of this week :)

It has been a little while since my last post :P I have been busy as a bee getting situated up here with classes and such. I have so much work, and the semester has just begun! hee hee. I love that I'm already asking people "soooo when is our next break?" lol.

As many of you may have noticed, my site looks a little different. I needed for it to be more organized, and so now when you hover over a section there may be a drop down menu to accompany it :) Oh! and the picture of the week now has an archive :) I'm still working on the galleries, so you may notice a lot of "under construction" signs everywhere, but have no fear! I am working very hard to get all of the galleries back up and running :)

Things have been going by so quickly this week, that I realized it is already Thursday, and I have not shot anything! Silly me, I must remedy that ;) Must get my picture of the week soon.

Well, that's all for the update, I need to get back to work on some papers and art projects.

 It was such a lovely weekend with my husband :) We went to a tea room, an art gallery, old used book store, and a museum downtown. It was just what both of us needed :) I found a gallery that seemed very accepting and caring. I can't wait to join them! :) And I love their name "The Art Guild" It makes me feel like it is medieval times when you belonged to a guild of your craft :) I will not be filling out an application for them for about a year though due to school :P

I'll be ready with all sorts of work to present them when I am done with school though ;)

I've been working feverishly on all sorts of photography things today, and I can't wait to unveil them :D
